From Skye Bridge:  Take the A87  following signs to Portree, Uig and Dunvegan.  At Sligachan turn left on to the A863 towards Dunvegan. About a mile before Dunvegan turn right onto the single track A864, signed to Portree. 2 miles later turn right onto the A850 following the Portree sign. Fairy Bridge is the next junction.  Turn left onto B886 for Waternish.  Follow this road for about 4 miles until you reach the junction for Stein turn right,  follow the road towards Hallin and Geary.  Continue for 2 miles and you will see a sign for Geary to the right - continue without turning for 100m  -  just over the bridge you will find Burnside Cottage on your right.

From Portree:  Travelling North from Portree follow the A87 for Dunvegan passing Edinbane.  The Waternish pennisular starts at Fairy brige. Turn right onto the B886 and follow the directions as above.
